The Manual/Automation Software Test Specialist (Domain Tester) at Siemens plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. Key Responsibilities:



Collaborate with domain experts and business analysts to understand software requirements and domain-specific functionality.

Translate business requirements into comprehensive test cases and test scenarios.

Identify potential test automation opportunities based on domain characteristics.

Test Planning and Design:


Develop detailed test plans and strategies, considering both manual and automated testing approaches.


Design and implement automated test scripts using appropriate testing frameworks and tools.

Manual and Automated Testing:


Execute manual tests to validate software functionality, compatibility, and user experience within the domain context.

Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Conduct regression testing to identify and address potential software regressions.

Defect Detection and Reporting:


Identify, document, and prioritize defects using established defect tracking systems.

Work closely with development teams to reproduce, isolate, and resolve defects.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely defect resolution and validation.

Domain Expertise:


Develop a deep understanding of the domain-specific requirements, industry standards, and user expectations.

Provide domain-specific insights and suggestions to improve software quality and user experience.

Performance and Security Testing:


Perform performance testing to assess software responsiveness, scalability, and resource utilization within the domain context.

Conduct security testing to identify vulnerabilities and ensure the software meets security standards.

Continuous Improvement:


Stay up-to-date with industry trends, testing methodologies, and tools related to software testing and the specific domain.


Participate in knowledge sharing and mentorship to promote a culture of learning within the testing team.

Collaboration and Communication:


Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and quality assurance teams, to ensure alignment and successful delivery of

 software products.

Provide clear and concise updates on testing progress, results, and issues to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:


Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, 

Proven experience in manual and automated software testing, including test planning, design, execution, and defect management.

Proficiency in testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, JIRA, etc.).


Domain-specific knowledge and expertise relevant to the testing role.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of  a team.
